Privacy Policy, ScrollKiller for iOS

Last updated: May 15, 2026

ScrollKiller is a self-control app that helps people reduce mindless social media use on their own iPhone.

  1. Information We Collect

1.1 Subscription Information

If you buy or restore ScrollKiller Pro, we use Apple’s in-app purchase system and RevenueCat to show available plans, process purchases, restore purchases, and confirm whether Pro is active.

1.2 App Identifiers

ScrollKiller creates a random install identifier for subscriptions and a separate random referral identifier for Hug Rewards. These identifiers are random characters. They are not based on your name or email address.

1.3 App Analytics and Ads Measurement

ScrollKiller uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Ads measurement to understand how the app is used and which ads lead to installs, trials, or purchases.

Outside the United States, we may ask before enabling App analytics and Ads measurement. In the United States, App analytics and Ads measurement may be enabled by default, but you can turn them off anytime in ScrollKiller settings.

When App analytics or Ads measurement is not enabled, Google Consent Mode may still send limited signals about consent state and key app events for basic measurement and modeling. These limited signals are designed not to use app or device identifiers for analytics or ads storage.

We do not use this for personalized ads. We do not use IDFA. We do not use Google Ads remarketing.

We do not send your name, email address, selected blocked apps, selected blocked websites, hold messages, intentions, habits, raw location trail, or route history to Firebase Analytics or Google Ads.

1.4 Hug Rewards Information

If you use Hug Rewards, we store the information needed to run that feature, including your hug count, active hug sessions, claimed rewards, and reward history.

  1. Information We Do Not Send To Our Servers

2.1 Smart Detection Location And Motion

Smart Detection uses motion and coarse movement state on device to help decide when shielding should happen. We do not send your route history, place history, or raw location trail to our servers, Firebase Analytics, or Google Ads.

2.2 Family Controls Selections

The apps, websites, and categories you choose to limit are used on device through Apple’s Family Controls / Screen Time system. We do not send those selections to our servers, Firebase Analytics, or Google Ads.

2.3 Personal Content Created In The App

Intentions, habits, hold messages, and most settings are stored on your device unless you intentionally use an Apple system feature that shares them.

  1. How We Use Information

To provide subscription features and restore purchases

To run the optional Hug Rewards feature

To protect the app from abuse and duplicate reward claims

To support core app functionality
