App Privacy Policy and Additional Information

ScrollKiller App Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 25.2. 2024
ScrollKiller (“the App”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users (“you”). The aim of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about the types of data we process and how it’s processed and stored. By using the App, you consent to the policy and agree to its terms.

When you buy ScrollKiller Pro, your Purchase History is collected and stored via RevenueCat.
To request the deletion of your purchase history, please send an email to ideas@scrollkiller.app

With the exception of your ScrollKiller Pro purchase History, the App processes/stores personal user data locally within your device. Upon receiving the necessary permissions from you, the App functions as follows:

  • Accesses usage statistics to enable app features.
  • Operates in the background to deliver its services.
  • Displays an overlay blocking screen over social media apps and other apps added by you in specific situations, based on the settings you choose.

  1. User Data and Permissions

Your data collected by the App to make the main functions work is processed/stored locally, within your device. The following permissions are necessary for the main functionality of the App – scheduling and executing an automated block:
    • Permission to access usage statistics
    • Permission to appear on top
    • Disabling battery optimization on certain devices.
    • Permission to autostart on certain devices.

  2. Notifications

The App may show notifications such as:
    • “Monitoring mindless scrolling” when the ScrollKiller feature is active.
    • “Social media block is ON” when social media apps are blocked.
    • “Don’t you want to focus?” to prompt you to manually block social media if desired.

  3. Local Storage

The App includes a notes section, the contents of which are stored locally on the internal storage of your device. The list of apps you added, your settings, quotes, “Phone-free timer” records, and the number of times the block screen was displayed and exited (not unblocked) are also stored locally.

  4. Unblocking Feature

To disable the blocking overlay, you are required to hold an unblock button for a predetermined amount of seconds. (17s by default, can be set to 7s+ in the tools section)

  5. Ads

The App does not currently contain any third-party ads.

  6. Target Audience and Content

The ScrollKiller App is intended for a general audience and does not specifically target children under the age of 13. It is designed to assist users in managing their time on social media applications.

  7. Changes to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be promptly updated on this page with an adjusted “Effective Date”.
